Authorities have not recovered $1,700 worth of Yeti coolers mistakenly delivered to the wrong address just days before Christmas but they have now made an arrest in the case.
About two weeks before Christmas, a Clayton business ordered 17 Yeti coolers at a cost of $100 each. The items were shipped via FedEx however the delivery driver went to the wrong street.
Instead of delivering the 17 boxes to a business on Lee Court in Clayton, the driver mistakenly left them on Leeway Court. When the driver realized their mistake they returned to the Leeway Court address but all the packages were missing from the front porch.
After a lengthy investigation, 21 year-old Experanza Lopez Felix of Leeway Court, Clayton has recently been arrested and charged with felony larceny and felony conspiracy.
Felix allegedly admitted to detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office she took the packages but claims they are now in another state.
Felix was released on bond pending a court date.
