CLAYTON – A Zebulon woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly vandalized a Tesla car parked outside Food Lion on Neuse River Parkway near Clayton.
Olivia Marie Antoine, age 24, was charged March 25 with injury/tampering with a vehicle, a misdemeanor.
On March 13 around 4:30pm, a Clayton woman returned to her Tesla to discover “Nazi” had been painted on her vehicle with a white-milky substance. A swastika symbol had also been traced on the vehicle with the same substance.
The car was equipped with a video camera which captured the entire incident. The victim waited until March 20 to reported the alleged vandalism to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said they used facial recognition software the sheriff’s office recently purchased to help identify Antoine.
Antoine voluntarily surrendered to authorities on March 25 to be served with the warrant. She was immediately released on a $1,000 secured bond.
In recent weeks, Telsa vehicles, charging stations, and dealerships have come under attack by left-leaning groups upset with Elon Musk and DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency. The motive for the March 13 vandalism remains unclear, including whether the incident may have been a targeted attack based on political views.

Considering the proliferation of these attacks on Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and private owners nationwide, these charges should be upgraded to domestic terrorism, which is a federal crime and felony.
I’ve heard recently that these vandals will be charged with Domestic Terrorism – if the bossman has his way.
If you want to protest Tesla (and Musk, who is a Nazi), you should go to a Tesla dealer or plant, not vandalize an individual car. How would you know if the owner supports Musk? Maybe they are still looking to sell it, or simply can’t afford a different car, which is likely given the cost of Teslas. And why did the owner of the car wait an entire week to report the incident?
