Woman Charged With Threatening Court Official

SMITHFIELD — A Four Oaks woman was charged with a felony after authorities said she threatened a Johnston County magistrate while being processed at the county detention center.
Ashley Brooke Henry, 35, of Reedy Creek Road, was being booked into the Johnston County Detention Center on Jan. 10 when the incident occurred. During the booking process, Henry allegedly became disruptive and made a threat toward the magistrate. She was reportedly unruly during the booking process and at one point allegedly told the court official, “I am going to slay you f**kers.”
Henry was charged with threatening a court official, a felony under state law.
Authorities said Henry had been brought to the detention center to be served with a warrant for felony larceny in connection to a Dec. 31 incident at a residence on Reedy Creek Road during which a kitchen knife was stolen from a neighboring home.
No additional information was immediately available.
