An arrest has been made in the alleged robbery of a woman who responded to an internet ad last week.
The 27 year-old Benson woman said she met a man who had a cell phone listed for sale on OfferUpNow.com. They agreed to meet Thursday around 5pm on T-Bar Road near Benson. When they did, the suspect allegedly took $200, kept the phone, and fled in a vehicle.
Sunday night, Johnston County deputies took 17 year-old Daulton Blake Guin of the 1900 block of Elevation Road, Four Oaks into custody. Guin, the alleged getaway driver, was charged with conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses. He was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $10,000 bond.
Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said deputies are still searching for the second suspect, a black male in his early-20’s with a shaved head.
The victim was not harmed.
