    • That is totally uncalled for.. no matter if he was or wasn’t doing anything wrong, he was still somebody’s child. Some poor Mama’s heart is being ripped out of her chest and this is your reply?? Hope you never have to go through that pain.

      • It is sad. My heart breaks for the driver who has to live with the fact that he killed someone and it was not even his fault. My heart breaks for the family who lost a son, etc. I also wish law enforcement would crack down on those who ride on the road that should not be one the road, even if they are just crossing the road

      • I agree with Bethewontdoitagain. I feel sorry for the truck driver that has to live with what somebody else’s poor decisions caused.

    • How many times have you done something illegal and had to pay?! It’s a life loss! No one deserves to lose their 21 year old brother, child, spouse, or FATHER!

    • People are so rude ! It doesn’t matter what was right and wrong at this point . No one is perfect! A life was lost family grieving and the driver of the truck in total lost for words also . This could been your child, brother etc family member. Think of how your talking about this young man, someone could of been saying it about your family member/ friend also. My heart goes out to the Hare family , and family/friends he has left behind and his little girl, and the driver of the truck.

    • You are IGNORANT for even making that comment. He was trying get home to his daughter he was a good person.

  1. He was a great kid who was doing what several kids in the Princeton area do every day however he happened to make a mistake that cost him his life he just turned 21 2 weeks ago and was heading in positive direction he worked in Raleigh everyday and couldn’t wait to ride when he got home so before you make comments that will make things even worse for his brother mother or sisters for no reason other that being an idiot Please know what you are speaking on!!!!!

  2. i went to school with him..he leaves behind a gf and a daughter…y’all gotta be careful with how y’all talk about this..he’s someone’s dad, son ,nephew etc… we all make mistakes it just happened that this one took a life..no need to be rude about this situation

  3. The fact of you people saying this shows you have no heart. Austin is 21 years old and was just doin what he loved to do. His daughter who is 2 has to grow up without her daddy now. My boyfriend IS GONE. I pray nobody goes through this at all, I wish that this type of pain I’m feeling nobody will ever have to go through at all.

    • @Camryn – I’m truly saddened for you. The grief will be unbearable at times and you will feel like your heart will simply stop beating because it hurts so much. It’s the simple split second decisions that impact us forever, so when you feel like you cannot go on, hang on anyway. In time, the wounds soften and the memories become even sweeter. May your heart feel the love from those around you as you navigate this difficult time.

  4. It’s such an awful situation, but there’s lessons to be learned. Even if it’s an offroad bike, make sure it’s got working lights, you need to see and be seen, and if there’s an oncoming tractor trailer, be patient if you don’t think you can make it. I’m a lead-footed driver myself, but waiting a few seconds of your life to keep it is worth it in the end.

@Camryn, I’m sorry this happened to someone you love, and I’m sorry the cranky old geezers with nothing better to do felt the need to open their mouth. I pray you can find peace through it all.

  5. @bethewontdoitagain I bet you won’t put your name up here! A young boy lost his life his family is grieving! Regardless to what decisions he made they were mistakes that should have never costed him his life. It takes a low person to get on here and leave comments that will hurt the family and friends that are grieving this young boy! You will reap what you sow. And regret your words sooner or later!
