JOHNSTON COUNTY – A 34 year-old man is facing four sex charges. Kevin Lee Proffitt of Pierce Road, Garner, a Johnston County address, was arrested December 13 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Proffitt is charged with statutory rape of a child by an adult, indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of statutory rape of a child under age 15.
The alleged offense was reported to the sheriff’s office on November 6, 2023. No additional details were released.
Proffitt was held without bond pending his first court appearance.
