Annual Orange & Black Spring Game Returns March 22

BUIES CREEK – Campbell’s Orange & Black Spring Football Game, presented by the Fighting Camel Club, is set for noon on March 22 at Barker-Lane Stadium.

The Orange & Black Spring Game will be your first chance to preview the 2025 Fighting Camels, featuring a scrimmage, as well as family fun, Fighting Camel Club and alumni events surrounding the weekend.

Prior to the game, the Fighting Camel Club will host a pregame meetup in the suite level of Barker-Lane Stadium’s Carlie C’s IGA Press Box, joined by second year head coach Braxton Harris.

Campbell will also host a Football Alumni Weekend, March 21-22. Kicking off the weekend, the program welcomes all CU Football alumni back to Buies Creek for a gathering at Campbell’s baseball game against CAA rival UNCW. The group will gather in the right field Hump at Jim Perry Stadium, hearing from Coach Harris before enjoying the baseball game. Postgame will feature Friday Night Fireworks. Food and drinks will be available during the game.

The Camels began spring practice on February 11.

Campbell will kick off the 2025 season at CAA foe Rhode Island on Friday, August 29, also taking on East Carolina (September 6) and North Carolina State (October 4). The Camels will host their home opener on September 13, hosting Furman at Barker-Lane Stadium, the first of three-straight home dates, and six total home games in Buies Creek.

Campbell finished the 2024 season at 3-9 overall and 1-7 in CAA play, taking on the 10th toughest schedule in the FCS, including a historic 24-16 win at No. 17 Western Carolina, the program’s first ever win over a ranked opponent.

Following the season, three Camels were named to All-CAA teams, including wide receiver Sincere Brown (First Team), linebacker Jalen Brooks (Second Team) and long snapper Bobby Cleary (honorable mention), while rookie wideout Randall King was named a Phil Steele Freshman All-American.
