Annual Street Festival Returns To Downtown Clayton

CLAYTON, N.C. – The Town of Clayton is bringing family fun downtown on Saturday, June 6, with the 2026 Square to Square Street Festival. This year, the popular event is moving to a new summer date with daytime hours from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. along Main Street from Town Square to Horne Square.
Previously held on July 4, the festival now takes place earlier in the season, so families can enjoy the celebration before the hottest part of the afternoon.

New this year, guests can enjoy a Silent Disco Dance Party sponsored by The Clayton Center throughout the event. The Clayton Farm and Community Market, open Saturday mornings in Horne Square, will also join the celebration, giving visitors even more to see, shop, and explore.
The free event will begin at 10 a.m. with the beloved children’s Bike Parade. Magic shows will take place at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. at the corner of Main and Church Streets.

Town Council members will serve refreshing treats at the annual watermelon tent, and families are encouraged to bring bathing suits for the fire truck spray down finale at 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Main and Church Streets.
Guests can take part in rides and attractions in Town Square, including water slides and more. Families can also find trackless train rides and free snow cones in Horne Square along with vendors and activities throughout Main Street.

Entertainment will include a stilt walker, bubble artist, hula hooper, and juggler. Food trucks, tie dye shirts, and fairy hair will be available for purchase as well.
