A Wake County man was arrested by a Johnston County deputy following a brief chase Friday night.
The officer was called to investigate a report of an ATV in the roadway on Leachburg Drive off Old Drug Store Road. The officer spotted the ATV and turned on his blue lights however the operator accelerated to more than 60mph as he passed another vehicle.
Christopher Lee Sandy, 30, of Raleigh eventually stopped and was arrested. Sandy was charged with fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. Officers said they seized 96 pseudophedrine pills found in Sandy’s possession.
