CLAYTON – Clayton’s Fellowship Baptist Church honored one of their own on Sunday with members of the congregation wearing “pink.”
The church gathered to offer prayer and encouragement for their beloved friend, long-time church member, Brandy Wells, as she undergoes cancer treatments.
Her husband and children were in the congregation on Sunday while she remained at home, weakened by the treatments but able to watch the church’s live-stream of the event on her computer.
Pastor Jon Jenkins tweeted, “It was BRANDY WELLS DAY, today! Sister Brandy is going through Chemo treatments as she battles cancer. Many of our dear folks wore PINK today to show solidarity with her in this fight. THANK YOU dear church family for your love – We are #BrandyStrong!”
The church has also established a food shuttle, providing meals for the family, several times a week.
Ms. Wells is half way through her treatments and looking forward to a full return to good health, soon.
Fellowship Baptist Church is located at 911 West Main Street in Clayton.
