The home of school superintendent Dr. Ross Renfrow was burglarized on Thursday.
WTSB News has learned that Johnston County deputies received a burglar alarm from Renfrow’s home around 1:42pm yesterday. When officers arrived at the residence just off Highway 39 North they discovered a garage door had been forced open. There was a shoe mark near the door knob, a deputy noted.
Damage to the home was estimated at $1,000. No items were reported missing from the 3,408 square foot residence which is valued at $415,080 according to county tax records.
Detective Lt. Don Pate said the break-in does not appear to be connected to a burglary discovered around 3:30pm Thursday on Fire Department Road near Wilson’s Mills. A woman left her residence at 11:00am and when she returned at 3:30pm discovered an entry door had been kicked open and her home ransacked. $2,210 in property including cash, jewelry and electronics had been stolen.
No arrests have been made.
