Central Baptist Church To Host Dunn Patriotic Explosion On Sunday, June 29

DUNN — Central Baptist Church invites the community to a free evening of celebration and family fun at the annual Dunn Patriotic Explosion on Sunday, June 29, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The outdoor event will feature over a dozen local food trucks serving from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., a patriotic concert by the Central Baptist Church Choir at 8:15 p.m., and a professional fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The choir program will feature a powerful mix of patriotic and gospel music, including a special tribute to all the states and a time of recognition for military service members and veterans.

Guests will enjoy a wide range of food options throughout the evening. Favorites include shrimp po boys and steak and cheese sandwiches from Big B’s Kitchen, hibachi bowls and sushi from Xquisito, and burgers and BBQ from T&T Grill and Big Head BBQ. Sweet treats will also be available, including fresh mini donuts from The Donut Hut, ice cream sundaes from Sisters II Ice Cream, and baked goods from Burney’s Sweets & More. Fresh-squeezed lemonade, Italian ice, and cotton candy will also be on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash for food purchases. All activities will take place outdoors. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets and be aware that parking is limited.
