Hicks also helped seal the victory on the Tigers’ final possession, carrying five times for 38 yards and picking up three first downs as Hampden-Sydney ran out the clock.

The performance marked his third consecutive game with at least 200 rushing yards.

He has rushed for 760 yards over that three-game stretch.

Through five games this season, Hicks has 971 rushing yards on 148 carries, averaging 194.2 yards per game and 6.6 yards per carry.

He currently leads both the ODAC and NCAA Division III in rushing.

The Clayton native attended Apex Friendship High School before continuing his football career at Hampden-Sydney.

He now has 2,927 career rushing yards, fifth-most in school history, along with 30 rushing touchdowns, tied for eighth.
