Community And Senior Services Launches Study For Expanded Clayton Facility

Clayton is growing rapidly and so is its aging population. The Clayton Center for Active Aging has outgrown its space at 303 Dairy Road. Its parent agency, Community and Senior Services of Johnston County has contracted with Triangle J Council of Governments to conduct a 6-month feasibility study addressing the needs of older adults in the Clayton community.

Senior centers provide an access point to important aging services, promote health and wellness, and assist seniors to live independently for as long as possible. The study will document physical space requirements for a larger center, potential locations, and facility cost estimates.

Executive Director Neal Davis noted, “During the next few months, we will be conducting community sessions to gather citizen input about desired location, programs, and partnerships. We are excited for the future of Clayton and the Clayton Center for Active Aging.”

Community and Senior Services of Johnston County, Inc.
