Corinth Holders Students Organize 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

WENDELL, N.C. – Corinth Holders High School will host a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Friday, Sept. 11, honoring the first responders who climbed the World Trade Center towers during the terrorist attacks 25 years ago.

The event, organized by Corinth Holders High School HOSA, will be held from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the school, located at 6875 Applewhite Road.

Participants will climb the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs — approximately 2,200 steps — representing the height of the World Trade Center towers.

The memorial climb is open to first responders and members of the military.

The event is intended to remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers and other first responders who responded to the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Paddling for Pennies.
