SELMA – Two kilos of cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash was seized from a car during a routine traffic stop.
Ramiro Lucero Jimenez of Gurganus Road, Snow Hill, NC was arrested on three felony counts of trafficking cocaine.
At 10:12pm Saturday, Sept. 30, a Johnston County SAFE Team deputy stopped a vehicle for a violation on US Highway 70 near Selma. During the traffic stop approximately 4.4 pounds of cocaine and US currency were reportedly found.
Authorities said Jimenez had his wife and 2 week-old infant daughter inside the vehicle he was operating.
Jimenez was held on a $250,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

Immigration status should be a part of every reported arrest. Illegal aliens, spouses, girlfriends and any children should be deported immediately after cataloging DNA of the offender.
