Local, state and federal fire investigators responded to the scene of a house fire outside of Kenly early Monday.
Flames completely destroyed the home on Short Parrish Road off Hickory Crossroads Road.
The Kenly, Princeton, Nahunta and Polly Watson Fire Departments responded to the fire and found the two story single family farmhouse fully engulfed in flames. The home was completely destroyed.
Johnston County Fire Marshal Adam Stanley said the blaze was jointly investigated by the Fire Marshal’s Office with the assistance of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, NC State Bureau of Investigation and ATF. Because of the extensive damage the cause of the fire could not be determined.
No injuries were reported.
