KS Bank Breaks Ground On New Wendell Branch

WENDELL, N.C. – KS Bank celebrated a major milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new branch facility in Wendell on May 28th. The modernized branch represents a significant investment in the Wendell area, which the bank has served since 2007, and reflects its continued growth and commitment to local customers.
The ceremony featured remarks from the Wendell Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Roger Peterson, the Mayor of Wendell, Virginia Gray, and KS Bank President/CEO, Earl W. Worley, Jr. A prayer of dedication and blessing was provided by Adrian Dixon, Pastor with Northside Community Church.
President/CEO of KS Bank, Earl W. Worley, Jr. said, “This groundbreaking is a symbol of our long-term commitment to the Wendell community. Since 2007, we’ve been proud to serve this growing area, and building a new, modern facility reflects both our own growth and our belief in the future of this community. We are here to stay, and we’re investing in that future.”
Construction of the facility will be led by G & G Builders. Amos Greene, CEO of G & G Builders, said, “We are honored to partner with KS Bank on this exciting project. We’re proud to help bring their vision to life and contribute to a space that will support Wendell for years to come.”
The new branch is designed to blend modern banking conveniences with a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. Features will include updated technology, improved customer service spaces, and a drive-thru. The facility is expected to open in January 2027.
