Men’s Wearhouse Opens Doors At Selma’s Eastfield Development

SELMA, N.C. — Shoppers in Johnston County now have a new option for men’s clothing after Men’s Wearhouse opened its first store in the county at the Eastfield development in Selma.
Developed by AdVenture Development, the new retailer officially celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 19, joined by local officials and company representatives.
The store marks the first Johnston County location for Men’s Wearhouse, the nation’s largest specialty retailer of men’s apparel, tuxedo rentals and tailoring services. The company operates more than 600 stores across the United States.
“This new location reflects our continued commitment to providing customers with exceptional service, expert tailoring and quality products,” said John Tighe, chief executive officer of Tailored Brands, the parent company of Men’s Wearhouse.
Eastfield Store Manager Jackie Burden welcomed customers and community leaders during the grand opening celebration, including Selma Mayor Byron McAllister.
McAllister said the retailer’s arrival brings more than just another shopping destination to Johnston County.
“Men’s Wearhouse’s philanthropy delivers measurable outcomes, including thousands of job placements, millions in veteran aid, and hundreds of thousands of clothing donations,” McAllister said. “These efforts make Men’s Wearhouse a notable corporate contributor in workforce development and veteran support, and we are proud to welcome them to Eastfield in Selma.”
The opening is the latest addition to the growing Eastfield mixed-use development, which continues to attract new retail, restaurant and commercial investment along the Interstate 95 corridor.
