Meth Seized During Traffic Stop, JCSO Says

SMITHFIELD – Two Johnston County men were arrested Nov. 5th during a traffic stop on Mallard Road near Smithfield. Around 5:50am, a Johnston County sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle reportedly driven by a 39 year-old Benson woman.

During the traffic stop, two passengers in the vehicle were detained and later charged with having suspected methamphetamine in their possession.

James Robert Andrews, age 54, of W. Main Street, Micro and Raymond Roy Berry, age 54, of Goldsboro Street, Kenly were jailed on felony meth possession charges.

The driver was issued a traffic citation and released at the scene.
