New Roundabout Coming To Franklin County
FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will need to close Moores Pond Road and N.C. 98 near their intersection in Franklin County to install a roundabout.
Crews plan to begin work June 15 at 9 a.m., and conclude late October when the new roundabout opens to traffic.
Through traffic will detour via Satterwhite/Jack Jones Road, N.C. 96 (Zebulon Road) and U.S. 401 (Louisburg Road). Local access will be maintained for the duration of the closure.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone, follow posted detour signs and remain alert for construction personnel and equipment.
