50 Vehicles Targeted In Flowers Community
CLAYTON, N.C. – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating approximately 50 vehicle break-ins reported in the Flowers community, including neighborhoods off Neuse River Parkway.
Investigators believe the incidents occurred primarily between approximately 2 and 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, based on Ring doorbell camera images and other surveillance video obtained during the investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office has obtained images of possible suspects along with a vehicle believed to be connected to the incidents. Those images are being released in hopes someone can provide information useful to investigators.
Incidents were reported on East and West Ravano Drive, San Periro Drive, Albereto Drive, Wyndgate Drive, Hembury Drive, Hocutt Farm Drive, Mill Creek Drive, Mazzini Court, North Farm Drive, Manchester Trail, Capanne Court, Broomhill Court and Millwood Drive.
A variety of property was reported stolen from vehicles.
In one Albereto Drive case, a victim reported the theft of an iPhone 16, iPad Air, Discover credit card and a Sig Sauer P365 9mm handgun. The stolen property was valued at $2,200.
Other reports list stolen property including a Jeep key fob, a knife, a driver’s license, a handbag and other personal property.
Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to review reports and surveillance footage as they work to identify those responsible.
Anyone who recognizes the possible suspects or suspect vehicle, witnessed suspicious activity during the early morning hours of Sept. 3, or has additional surveillance footage that may assist investigators is urged to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000.

Why do people leave such things that were listed in their car overnite??
We should be able to leave things in a vehicle and not worry about people messing with our property.

The world has changed, young people no longer care about anyone but themselves and criminals are around every corner. Never leave anything that you don’t want stolen in any vehicle, even if it’s locked. Car windows shatter too easily.

I think any law abiding citizen can agree with your logic but in today’s society it’s not realistic. Anyone who reads everyday media coverage can tell you this is a regular occurrence. Unless there’s no other way to protect your valuables even a locked car at night is not the place to do it. IMO only someone who is either very immature, trusting, or doesn’t care would leave personal ID, CC, gun and other such things in a vehicle overnight.

It’s the victims fault these teens (probably) are walking around late at night because they don’t give them enough to do during the day. Right you are. I can leave stuff unlocked at my house but I don’t live in the new neighborhoods nor in town. Probably won’t last much longer even here. Thanks to the development and lack of teaching any principles besides victimhood and entitlement, this is going away in Johnston County.

Flowers had paid contract law enforcement with arrest powers patrolling the community a couple years ago and the Sheriff and DA didn’t support this.
