Sanford, NC: Miss Angel Marie Stone, age 16, of Farrell Road passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held-3:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White.
Angel was born on March 14, 2007 in Lee County to Clyde Lee Stone and Erica Marie Johnson Stone. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jason Edward Johnson; maternal Nana, Judy Capps Hanks; paternal grandfather, Carl Jr. Stone; and aunt, Jeannie Cardona.
Angel lived with her aunt and uncle, Crystal and Mark Gooding and attended Floyd L. Knight School and was in the 11th grade. She loved to laugh, loved her Uncle Mark’s cooking, loved to watch Paw Patrol, The Three Stooges, and Old Westerns with her Grandpa Gooding. She loved clothing, jewelry, and inherited her aunt Crystal’s love of shoes. She also loved to dance and sing. She will be remembered as a happy and loving person that saw beauty in things that most people take for granted. She was her family’s “Angel”.
Surviving includes her aunt and uncle, Crystal and Mark Gooding; mother, Erica Marie Stone; father, Clyde Lee Stone; twin sister, Emily Lee Stone; grandmother, Nellie Heaton and husband, David; grandfather, Michael Anthony Johnson, Sr.; grandpa, Norman Gooding; step-grandma, Brenda Stone; aunt, Linda K. Gaona; uncles, Junior Lee Stone and wife, Julie and Michael Anthony Johnson, Jr.; special friend to the family, Karen “K.K.” Mitchell; and multiple cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service at 49 Farrell Road, Sanford, NC 27330.
