    Selma – Clifton Wallace Woodruff, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday afternoon January 6, 2022 at his home. Born October 10, 1935 in Johnston County. He was the son of the late Jodie Woodruff and Inzez Boswell Woodruff of Selma, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Horne Woodruff and son, Stephen Wallace Woodruff. Mr. Woodruff is survived by his daughter, Darlene Woodruff and grandson, Stephen Woodruff II and wife Krista; sisters, Betty W. E. Creech and Kay W. Lamm. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and his favorite grand doggie, Brassey Lou.

    Mr. Woodruff was a very respected, loved and cared for Christian man. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was a veteran of the US Army and served his country, which he loved dearly. Mr. Woodruff traveled worldwide sharing the gospel in the missionary field. He also actively placed his tracts in numerous businesses everywhere and enjoyed working his bicycle ministry in which he restored and shared with needy children in West Virginia and locally.

    Mr. Woodruff loved the outdoors, staying occupied in his garden on his tractor and planting his famous “Yellow Collards”. He was known as the “Collard Man” to many. He loved trips to the beach with his family and catching the “Big One”.

    Mr. Woodruff was always willing to lend a praying hand to anyone who needed it.

    A celebration of life for Mr. Clifton Wallace Woodruff and son, Stephen Wallace Woodruff will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family will also receive family and friends at Mr. Woodruff’s home at 577 Woodruff Road Selma, NC.
