Corey Lee Giddens

In Loving Memory of Corey Lee Giddens July 16, 1983 – April 12, 2025
Corey was a man of integrity, and boundless love, who was the cornerstone of his family and a pillar in his community. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will live on in the lives he touched so deeply.
Corey grew up in Smithfield, NC and graduated from Smithfield Selma High School in 2002. He lived much of his adult life in Smithfield, Clayton, and Surf City. He was a dedicated father and husband to Heather for many years. He cherished his daughters—Brooklyn, Presley, and Taydem. He was their protector, their best friend, and their biggest fan. His pride in them was evident to all who knew him. As a “Papaâ€, he adored his grandchildren, Aria and Zane, showering them with the same fierce love and quiet strength that defined him.
He was a caring son to Clarisse Giddens and the late Mike Giddens, whose values and work ethic he carried with him every day. Corey was a loyal brother to Kevin Giddens and mourned the loss of his brother Grey Giddens with a heart full of love and memories.
Corey’s love wasn’t limited by blood. He took people in as family, offering his home, his heart, and his unwavering support. His friends became brothers and sisters, his employees became part of something greater, and his dog Jefe, a loyal companion, remained by his side through it all.
Professionally, Corey was a leader. He was in the top 10 percent of contractors in North Carolina and he built a company from the ground up, earning the respect of colleagues, clients, and competitors alike. Known for his dedication, honesty, and unmatched work ethic, Corey wasn’t just a boss—he was a mentor, a guide, and a steady presence in the lives of those who worked with him.
Corey was a rock for so many. He carried others when they couldn’t carry themselves, gave generously, and loved without limits. His memory will be cherished, his life celebrated, and his impact felt for generations to come.
Corey left this world far too soon on April 12, 2025 in Pender County, NC, at the age of 41. Rest easy, Corey. You were loved more than words can express and will be missed beyond measure. Vatos Locos Forever.
