Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Deborah Thornton Cobb, age 68, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Jessie Brock will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Cobb was born on September 26, 1954 in Harnett County, NC to the late Frank W. Thornton, Jr., and Mavis Geraldine Lee Thornton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David C. Cobb, infant daughter, Emily A. Cobb, and a brother, Frankie Thornton. Mrs. Cobb retired from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. She attended Burnell Baptist Church outside Four Oaks, NC.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly C. Derycke of Four Oaks, NC; grandson, Colin David Derycke; sisters, Charlotte T. Lee and husband, James Randy; and Jennifer T. Johnson; sister-in-law, Barbour A. Cobb; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Burnell Baptist Church Building Fund C/O of Mandy Davis 643 Shade Tree Road, Benson, NC 27504.
