Four Oaks: Mr. James Dennis Raynor, age 82, of Black Creek Road, died Friday, June 30, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health Hospital in Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 3, 2023 at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Rodney Britton, Rev. Dennis Wall, and Mr. Rodney Barbour. Burial will follow in Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.
Mr. Raynor was born on March 29, 1941 in Johnston County to the late James Patrick and Marjorie Ann Barbour Raynor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye Raynor. Mr. Raynor worked for Fieldcrest, Barnes Furniture, and Agri Supply in Garner. He was a member of Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks and was a US Army Veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Betty Barnes and husband, Allan of Kenly and Toni Wall and husband, Shane of Four Oaks; five grandchildren, Allan Michael Barnes, Eric Barnes, Mara Wall, Chase Wall, and Payton Wall; one great-grandson, Cayden Highlander; brothers, Deral Raynor and wife, Shirlan of Kinston, Lamar Raynor and wife, June of Four Oaks; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM-8:00PM Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, and other times at the home of Toni and Shane Wall.
