Mrs. Janice McLamb Lee, age 76, formerly of Garner, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Friday, June 24, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Stones Creek Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson, NC.
Mrs. Lee was born on January 6, 1946 in Johnston County, NC to the late Lethel Theron and Geneva Smith McLamb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ray Lee, a sister, Barbara Pope and a grandson, Cody Lee. Mrs. Lee was the operator of Massengill’s BBQ in Smithfield, NC for many years, and was also a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Alan Lee and wife, Lynette, Eric Lee and wife, Cori, and Jason Lee and wife, Holly; grandchildren, Justin Lee, Joshua Lee, Matthew Lee, Taylor Lee, Kendall Lee, Holden Lee, Chase Lee, and Callie Lee; great-grandson, Mason Lee; brother, Levon “Lee” McLamb; sister, Glenda Massengill; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM-1:45PM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
