Linda Paulette Caldwell, age 73, of Cary passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County on October 6, 1948, she was the daughter of Pauline Caldwell James of Smithfield and the late Eugene Harold Caldwell. Linda was also preceded in death by her brother, Harold Caldwell and her step-father, Jesse James.
Linda was a retired Telecommunications Engineer with the U.S. Postal Service and spent the last several years lovingly caring for her mother.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, at 2:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield. Rev. Jerry Waters will officiate.
In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
