    Mary Ann Bunn Sharpe Warren, age 83 of Micro, passed away peacefully Saturday April 6, 2024. Born in Wilson County on April 14, 1940, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Roman Franklin Bunn, Sr. and Mattie Lee Simpson Bunn.

    In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husbands, William (Bobby) Edward Sharpe, Sr. and Charles Franklin Warren I; son, William Edward Sharpe Jr.; grandson, Edgar Wayne Warren; and her siblings, Gertie May, Hugh McCae, Addie Bell, Mildred, Juanita, Sadie, Eva, R.F., and Elwood.

    Mary Ann is survived by seven children, Charles “Chuck” Warren II (Kim), Beletha “Bea” Warren Soles, Johnny Sharpe, James “Jim” Warren, Nora “Lori” Dixon (Greg), Mel Campbell (Jim), Brad Sharpe (Teresa), 16 grandchildren and their spouses along with 25 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.

    Mary Ann was the heart of this large family, keeping everyone close by visiting and hosting annual family reunions and wonderful birthday parties. She is fondly known for being the family historian and for maintaining family holiday traditions.

    Mary Ann was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and adored performing hymns. She was a renown cook. She loved to carry food to neighbors and those in need. She could often be found enjoying her days on her front porch or toiling away in her vegetable garden.

    Mary Ann was a faithful member of Micro Original Free Will Baptist Church where she served the Lord as a devoted member of the Church Choir, Ladies Auxiliary and teacher. Mary Ann was a dedicated member of Micro OFWB Church receiving an award for 35 years of perfect attendance. She loved the Lord and it was evident by her love for her family, friends, church, and community. The family wishes to sincerely thank all of Mary Ann’s caregivers for their kindness love and support.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will follow in Micro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home. Additional visitation appreciated at the Warren residence in Micro, NC.
