Coats, NC: Mrs. Peggy Bedford Godwin, age 81, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Greenleaf Assisted Living in Lillington, NC. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. David Smithey. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Godwin was born in Harnett County on February 19, 1943 to the late Earl Dorsey and Cornelia Blackmon Bedford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vonor Lee Godwin. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Coats.
Surviving include her children, Ruth Ann Godwin Sullivan and husband, Timothy of Fredericksburg, VA, Linda Ann Godwin Limerick and husband, Warren of Coats, and Lee Allen Godwin and wife, Katie of Little Washington; grandchildren, Jason Sullivan, Tiffany Sullivan, Kyle Aldred, Ahna Aldred, Allen Austin Godwin, Shaun Limerick, Branson Connor Godwin; great-grandchildren, Nolan Daniel Sullivan, Grayson Timothy Sullivan, Althea Jane Sullivan, Alani Grace Aldred, Layla Marie Aldred, Brookelyn Godwin, Josephine Ann Sullivan; sister, Nancy Bedford King of Alexandria, VA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM – 1:45PM, Friday, March 1, 2024, prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
