Selma – Ramona Bailey Barbee Phillips, age 90, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020. She was born in Johnston County on July 8, 1930 to the late Marion Ivey Bailey and Lorna Atkinson Bailey. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Ray Phillips Sr.; son in laws, Gerald Creech and Ronnie Elmore; 1 infant brother; 2 infant sisters; grandson, Derek Ray Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Selma on Saturday November 14, 2020 at 11 AM with Rev. Eric Narron officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday.
Ms. Phillips is survived by Sons, Warren Phillips and wife Angel of Selma and Lawrence Phillips Jr. and wife Elaine of Selma; daughters, Jenny Creech of Zebulon, Jackie Hines and husband Stancill of Cary and Carolyn Canzonieri and husband Mike of Indian Trail; brother, Wilbur Bailey and wife Becky of Raleigh; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
Ms. Phillips was a long time member at Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where she started a bible study group as well as taught Sunday school. Ms. Phillips was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Family will receive visitors at the home of Angel Phillips at any time other than the services.
