SELMA – Selma Police are investigating a serious accident between a pedestrian and car. The collision was reported at 9:55pm Monday on Lizzie Street near Sharpe Street.
Police Chief W.M. Thomas said the pedestrian, Danny Chavez, age 47, of Selma, was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a car.
Chavez was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stopped, remained at the scene, and cooperated with officers. No charges have been filed against the driver.
The investigation remains ongoing.
