PINE LEVEL – Pine Level Police have released some of the names of those involved in a fatal weekend crash on Country Store Road at Dock Avenue.
At 7:44pm Saturday, Police Chief A.Q. Woodard said a 2012 Ford driven by Ramon Gonzalez-Rivera, 39, of Selma collided with a 2002 Porsche driven by Matthew Alarcon Jr., 19, of Smithfield. The Ford was occupied by six people, while the Porsche had two occupants.
Seven victims were transported to WakeMed, several with serious injuries. The passenger in the Porsche, Bryan Mendoza Lara, 22, of Raleigh died at the scene.
Chief Woodard said the accident remains under investigation.
