Parker

Police found Christopher Ray Whitfield, age 50, of the address, deceased inside his home. The suspect, 19 year-old Shaikeem Jemeruis Parker of Tumbling Stone Way, Garner, was immediately taken into custody.

Police believe Whitfield was arguing with his wife, the suspect’s mother, when Parker reportedly became involved and fatally shot his stepfather.

Clayton Police Chief Greg Tart said Shaikeem Parker will be charged with first-degree murder.
