Police Unveil New Bike Patrol Uniforms

Selma Police have updated uniforms for officers on bicycle patrol. They replace uniforms designed 20 years ago.
Police Chief R.A. Cooper say the new uniform has a more “modern professional look.”
Currently, six officers assigned to bicycle patrols have been fitted for the new uniforms. The cost was just over $1,800 but will not cost taxpayers any money.
The uniforms will be paid for with donated funds from the yearly police department calendar and from a donation from the Moose Lodge.
Police use bike patrols during special events and patrol areas of town as needed for enforcement efforts.
