School Board Approves Two Personnel Appointments
SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Board of Education approved two personnel appointments at the request of Superintendent Dr. Eric Bracy.
- Kristy Stephenson was named Assistant Superintendent of Research and Accountability (CIA).
- Hunter Johnson was named Fleet Services Supervisor for Transportation Services.
Both appointments were approved by unanimous vote at the March school board meeting.

Have they announced a replacement for Bracy?
It would be very interesting to see the JoCo school system organizational chart. It appears they have a lot of employees with Superintendent in their titles. I question the salaries of these employees, the number of direct reports, and their productivity. I think the tax payers spend to much on administrative staff and not enough on students and teachers.
How many teachers could they have gotten with those 2 salaries just to make Bracy job easier
