The Smithfield Town Council unanimously approved the following advisory board appointments during their May 18, 2020 monthly meeting:
- David Johnson was reappointed to a second term on the Board of Adjustment
- Jan Branch was reappointed to a fifth term on the Historic Properties Commission
- Aleisa Sanders was appointed to a first term on the Library Board of Trustees
- Richard Childrey was reappointed to a second term on the Library Board of Trustees
- Ashley Spain was reappointed to a fourth term on the Planning Board as an extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) member
