You may have seen them already. Fake Dollar General coupons are circulating on social media.
The Facebook post claims Dollar General is giving away free “DG Exclusive $150 coupons” to celebrate their 80th anniversary. The coupons supposedly can be obtained by liking and sharing the Facebook post.
Dollar General said the coupon is not valid and is not redeemable. The company says they are encouraging people not to click on any of the links and report the coupon to Facebook as misleading and fraudulent.
The scam is similar to “lifetime passes” and free products supposedly offered by companies that are also bogus.
