The Town of Smithfield said 872 customers were left in the dark Tuesday night after a utility pole broke. The outage occurred around midnight.
Nearly all the customers had power back on by 2:30am Wednesday.
However, 30 customers near the intersection of Wilson Street and Stevens Street in South Smithfield did not have service restored until 8:00am until the pole was replaced.
