Child Drowns In Backyard Swimming Pool
MEADOW – A 12 year-old child drowned Monday afternoon in a small backyard swimming pool. The tragic death happened at a home off Lee-Johnson Road, in the Meadow community, in southern Johnston County.
Authorities are treating the death as accidental. The name of the victim or additional details has not been released.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the mishap.
