BENSON – Benson Elementary School will be getting some relief from overcrowded classrooms. The school is currently 54 students over capacity and is expected to continue to grow. Five mobile classrooms are already in use on the campus.
The Board of Education has approved a $8,524,500 contract to expand the school by an additional 17 classrooms. This include a new 13 classroom wing, plus 4 additional classrooms added to the Pre-K through first grade wing.
