This intersection has been the site of numerous accidents in recent years.

In February 2025, the N.C. Department of Transportation announced plans to improve safety by constructing a roundabout at the location. The $8.8 million project, scheduled to begin in late 2026, will also realign Buffalo Road, Fire Department Road, and Little Divine Road.

  1. send everyone to Ireland so that they can learn how to use a Round About first. They cant even figure it out how to use the one at the OUTLETS. But lets waste more money

  2. A lot of intersections could be improved if they would straighten up the road that is turning. Covered Bridge Road and Buffalo Road is another place. And when there is a right turn, have the lane that is going straight back a little so people turning on red can see if traffic is coming.

  3. Just put up a stoplight. We don’t need to keep putting in round abouts. The Yankees can keep that crap. We don’t like it.Stop trying to turn NC into the north.

      • Yeah, y’all have managed to f**k up our beautiful state.. making it into the s**thole you came from…houses covering what was once beautiful farm and woodlands… stupid roundabouts everywhere, because you arrogant a**holes don’t have enough sense to manage a four way stop…which southern state are y’all going to s**t on next?

    • I am from here and I love roundabouts. Much better than a stop light or 4 way stop sign.

  4. Roundabouts done properly should be tight enough to slow traffic without impeding it. I’ve been around them for years. They work far better than traffic lights….as long as the design isn’t fiddled with, which will louse them up in a flash. The cheap fix is stop signs…many of which will move traffic just as fast as the traffic lights in this area. With the infrastructure like it is and the population booming, left hand turns cause huge backups. Perhaps we should make Jersey jug handles…:(. But of course, everyone is sooooo important and in a hurry…and monitoring their texts which are so important…..and please, never be aware of any of your surroundings, just stare straight ahead…and please, never use your mirrors…or your turn signals

  5. Surely putting up traffic lights will be cheaper than 8.8 million dollars. That’s outrageous for a round about. Is the circle going to be made out of gold?
