A car that was found burned and abandoned on a dead end road near Clayton had been reported stolen.
Sunday morning, a Johnston County deputy located the burned out remains of a Subaru at the end of Wise Road off Gordon Road. Authorities said the vehicle had been placed on blocks and all four tires removed. The car belonged to a Garner woman.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
