A member at a rural Johnston County church discovered their church van had been vandalized Tuesday night.
The incident was reported at the Sylvia Chapel Church at 9780 Highway 222 West of Kenly.
Someone pried open a locked gas lid to the van and also broke a chain across the driveway. No fuel was taken from the van. The damage was estimated at $80.
There are no suspects in the case. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
