Downtown Clayton To Celebrate End Of School With Summer Kickoff Party

CLAYTON, N.C. — Families looking to celebrate the end of the school year will have a chance to kick off summer with waterslides, games, music and activities during Downtown Clayton’s Last Day of School Party later this month.
The free community event will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at Town Square in downtown Clayton.
Organizers say the event will feature giant waterslides, inflatables, music, games and family-friendly activities designed to celebrate the beginning of summer break for local students.

Families are encouraged to bring towels, swimsuits, sunscreen and lawn chairs to enjoy the afternoon festivities. Nearby public parking will be available throughout downtown Clayton.
Event organizers described the celebration as Downtown Clayton’s “biggest splash into summer,” offering residents a chance to gather with friends, neighbors and classmates after the final day of school.
The event is free and open to the public.
