Expired: Driver Arrested During Selma Traffic Stop

A Wake County man ended up in the Johnston County Jail after being stopped for a traffic violation.  A deputy stopped a car July 14th at 2:22pm on Campground Road.

The driver, John Jagla Jr., of Raleigh had a suspended driver’s license. An officer said he smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the car.

The officer asked Jagla if he had anything illegal in the vehicle.  The suspect allegedly admitted that the officer would find marijuana under the driver’s seat. During a search of the car, the officer found two ounces of marijuana under the seat.

Jagla was charged with felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.  The 43 year-old man was held on a $10,000 secure bond.
