Dunkin’ Celebrates New Clayton Store With Donut Giveaway

CLAYTON, N.C. — Coffee and donut lovers may want to set their alarms early.

Dunkin’ will celebrate the opening of its newest Clayton location with a two-day grand opening event that includes giveaways of free donuts for a year, free Refreshers, merchandise giveaways and a charitable donation to Special Olympics of North Carolina.

The new restaurant, located at 2165 Pritchard Road, Suite B, will officially open its doors with festivities beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

According to Dunkin’, the first 100 customers in line at the new location will receive a coupon book for free donuts for a year, while supplies last. The giveaway will also be offered at two other participating Clayton-area Dunkin’ restaurants located at 770 Enterprise Drive and 2627 N.C. Highway 42 East, giving residents multiple opportunities to claim the prize.

The celebration will continue throughout the morning at the new Pritchard Road store. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will include a $2,000 donation to Special Olympics of North Carolina. Local franchise owner George Ross is expected to participate in the ceremony.

The following day, June 24, 2026 the new location will host another promotion. The first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line beginning at 5 a.m. will receive 30 days of free Refreshers through the Dunkin’ mobile app.

The restaurant represents the latest investment in Clayton by Coastal Franchising, the company owned by Ross. The opening marks the franchise group’s third location in the Clayton area and is part of a larger network of 142 Dunkin’ restaurants operated across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The newly constructed restaurant features Dunkin’s “Next Generation” design concept, which emphasizes technology, convenience and an updated customer experience. The approximately 1,920-square-foot building includes indoor seating for 16 customers and outdoor seating for eight guests.

Among the restaurant’s features are a dedicated mobile pickup area, digital order status boards and Dunkin’s “On Demand” service designed to speed up mobile and online orders. The store also incorporates Dunkin’s premium beverage system, including cold beverages served through a tap system and espresso-based specialty drinks.

The new location will employ approximately 30 workers and will be open daily from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Residents interested in participating in the grand opening promotions are encouraged to arrive early, as all giveaways are limited to the first 100 qualifying customers and are available only while supplies last.
