FedEx Driver Stole Dog That Later Died In His Delivery Truck, HCSO Says

HARNETT COUNTY – A FedEx driver has been arrested for allegedly stealing a dog that later died in his delivery truck. Kimani Joehon Marshall, age 44, of Fayetteville is facing charges.

On July 7, the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a complaint of a larceny of a dog.

The investigation revealed that on July 3, a FedEx driver delivering packages in the area of US 421 South allegedly stole the dog, a French Bulldog named Tori.

The driver, identified as Kimani Marshall, reportedly continued along his route that day. Investigators believe that Tori died due to heat related issues as she traveled inside the FedEx truck as temperatures reached into the 90’s.

The remains of Tori were recovered on July 10 off Holy Mission Lane near Lillington.

Kimani Marshall surrendered himself to deputies on July 22 where he was charged with larceny of a dog, possession of stolen property and cruelty to animals. He was held on a $50,000 secured bond.
