Four Oaks Man Breaks Fishing State Record

Rocky Baker of Four Oaks enjoyed a special outing at the Roanoke River on July 17.

Officials with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission confirmed that Baker broke a state record by reeling in his 127-pound, 1-ounce blue catfish. The fish measured 60 inches long and 40 1/4 inches in girth.

Baker used a Mad Cat rod and Penn Squall reel.
